Seven Card Bet

A two-player bluffing game. Create a room, share the link, and play on two devices.

Background

Play on Two Devices

Player A creates a room and sends the invite link to Player B. Each player uses their own phone, tablet, or computer, so hidden cards stay private.

Quick Player Guide

Host: enter your name. You may type a room code, or leave it blank and let the game create one. Then click Create Room.

Second player: open the invite link, enter your name, and click Join Room. You may test on the same computer using two different tabs.

After both players join, Player A chooses who attacks first. The other player attacks in the second half.

Game Rules

  1. A full match has two attack halves. After both players join, Player A chooses who attacks first. In the second half, the players switch roles.
  2. At the start of each half, both players have seven cards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Each card can be used only once in that half.
  3. Each half has seven rounds. In each round, the Attacker secretly chooses one unused card and chooses a public bet from 1 to 7 points.
  4. The Defender sees only the bet amount. Then the Defender secretly chooses one unused card.
  5. As soon as the Defender locks the card, both cards are revealed and compared. The larger card wins the round. Equal cards are a tie.
  6. If the Attacker wins, the Attacker gains the bet amount. If the Defender wins, the Attacker loses the bet amount. If the round is tied, the Attacker gains 0.
  7. After both players have taken one half as Attacker, compare the two final scores. The higher score wins the match.

Classroom note: use points or tokens only. This version is designed as a probability and strategy game, not real-money play.
